This part (hinge and pin) is the essential lower connection between the Bennett trim tab plane and hydraulic cylinder. The pin is designed to shear off under loads that would otherwise damage the cylinder rod end, which would be more costly to repair, and in most cases require hauling the boat. I have found the best pricing, availability and speedy delivery from Hodges.
