I bought this winch because I had a 1500lb Fulton 3-way (new on trailer) that kept popping into neutral while towing. This allowed my boat to slip back a couple inches on two long distance trips. The pawl causing this could have been made of an soda can pull tab; very cheap! Instead of going through the motions of trying to return this under warranty, I opted to buy this unit. The 1600 is a decent economical two-way. No negative issues.
