This thing is unreal. When I go out in my boat (Lowe Tahiti 194) people who know nothing about it say "oh you have an underwater camera"?). That part is as good as everyone says. I have 2 issues with the product...#1 finding a good location for transom mounted transducer to work well at any other speed than idle..still experimenting and I think I will get there but it would be nice if the design of the transducer would allow more flexibility and less "sensitivty" to turbulence etc. #2- Just yesterday I was riding at low speed for about 10 minutes (10mph) and the head shut itself off for no apparent reason. I have read about a few other people having this issue but understand that Hummingbird will take good care of people if there are issues during warranty period. There are great forums out there for the unit which have been helpful but no info for my boat specifically regarding the transducer...I need to get around to talking to Humminbird.

This is an outstanding product for seeing the bottom, shipwrecks, and structures underwater. The screen is bright and crisp even in direct sunlight, the sidescan images returned are superb, and the built-in navigation system is more than adequate.
The only drawback is that there are so many features, the unit can initially be hard to use, and the instruction manual and support are quite inadequate. It takes quite a bit of effort to fully understanding and operate the unit, and we're still trying to learn it all.
