It works great, just wish it was compatible with the Navitronics Platinum Hotmaps, it works with the Premium Hotmaps but that is my only real gripe. The screen is easy to read even in the Texas sun, the transducer is built tough mine has seen its fair share of getting dragged over stumps and fallen trees when I am jug lining the river. This is my first fishfinder so I don't have much to compare it to. The GPS is spot on and finds its location quick. If you have any questions email me Kenny073@sbcglobal.net
