GREAT ALTERNATIVE |

I have used the engine mount both in fresh and saltwater and it work great. I could not use a regular trolling motor due to high rails at bow. The engine mount is not as responsive as a bow mount, but I have a 17' dual console Triumph and not a bass boat. I could hold it easily against the out going tide in the sound. BE SURE TO CHECK THE WATER LINE TO CAVITATION PLATE MINIMUM. If i walk to the front the motor splashes the water as mine is REALLY close to the minimum. Boat planes off just as well as before.
