The winch looks strong. My purchase was based on the low amps for 900 lb pull. Instalation was easy. Testing with a 35 LB CQR, the winch would not pull the anchor over the roller. Test with a Bruce 22 lb did work. Good winch but I question the rated 900 lb pull. my test was with all chain. I need to test the nylon to chain feed next. Info I received from others said the short splice as provided by powerwinch would not feed and a long splice is needed. Last, the switch is kind of light for the open coocpit and no fail safe cover.
