I had the windless sent to my boat builder, they recieved it, installed it, it works fine. The chain bounces a lot when it comes up out of the water because it is coming up fast. You kind of have to be careful and click the up button on and off.
I had no problems with Hoges marine, everything went smoothly.

very easy to install and it works great.Much stronger and the free fall is just what you need to anchor on your spot. The price is the best on the net. Gary

THIS WINDLESS WAS EASY TO INSTALL. IT HAS FAST RETRIVAL AND I WOULD GIVE IT 5 STARS. ANY ONE WOULD BE HAPPY TO OWN ONE.

This seems like a well made product and I am satisfied with the installation hardware and accessories. The operating instructions are somewhat unclear and the warranty says 3 years in the instructions and 5 years on the box. Attempts to get clarification from Lewmar were met with automated reply's saying they got my message but no further contact or resolution. Based on the manufacturers lack of response I would hesitate to recommend this product.
