My St1000+ is not maintaining course in Auto anymore after almost 20 years of perfect use.
A Just bought here a new one hoping it will last the same.
Laurence Bedell maybe your problem is related to Operating Sense Reversal that can be changed pressing +1 an -1 together for 5 seconds.
Look at the manual.

After doing all the things necessary to use it , it seems to be in the southern hemisphere. It goes in the opposite direction than what I set. 180 degrees off. I will hire someone in the spring to help set it up.
Is it possible that you couyld suply me with detailed description on how to adjust the hemisphere?

An outstanding addition to my crew!  For convenience and safety it can't be beat.  This unit does a better job of steering the boat than I do.  It frees me up to handle sheets and lines, cook a meal, or just hang out on the foredeck.  Indespensible for anyone singlehanding.
