SVS 650 February 17, 2013
Reviewer: Mal. from Australia
Bought the SVS 650 when they first came out.
Every bit as good as the furuno 620, but bigger and clearer. Great for deep salt water fishing.

Average & less than expected September 20, 2011
Reviewer: Brad from Virginia
Bought the 650 in July 2011; having been on the market for well over a year, I installed it based off good reviews online and coming from an existing SITEX unit on the boat (utilizing same transducer) I thought it was a good fit.  Compared to a previous boats Raymarine w/DSM250, this unit is WAYYYYYY behind on expectations.  The auto gain function is not good at seperating bait vs bottom and or temp/tidal breaks (ie it constantly changes scales, loosing bottom thinking its bait schools or thermoclines) details is on par with other units on the market, but the auto gain and scale funtions are useless IMO.  All that combined with GPS software errors (will only display UTC time even though it has availabilty for local) as well as the route, waypoint data not functioning as described, I would NOT buy this unit again.

Si-Tex Svs-650 July 4, 2011
Reviewer: Ian from Australia
I have owned about different Fishfinders, the second was a Si-Tex in the 90's and i love it for it's clarity and definition. Nothing has changed, still a great piece of fishing gear. Recommend it to anyone looking for something special

Si-Tex sounder/fishfinder February 7, 2011
Reviewer: Andrew Knee from Virgin Gorda, BVI
product works as advertised and has proven reliable so far. Given the change of ownership of the company and difficulty in finding the Si-Tex website, don't expect the product to be supported much longer
