UM525 - Fixed Mount VHF/Loud Hailer 25 Watt Marine Radio. The UM525 is loaded with great features, including all US, International, and Canadian channels, programmable scan, triple watch, step key, selectable Hi/Lo transmit power and more. It also has NMEA 0183 digital input and output, allowing the connection of an external GPS and the ability to output DSC call information to a chart plotter to establish call origin.

25 WATT PERFORMANCE WITH BUILT-IN LOUD HAILER - 25-Watts of transmitting power and superior receiver performance equal to radios that cost over twice as much (-80dB intermod nominal). The UM525 is also equipped with a full-featured loud hailer, including intercom and preprogrammed fog signals.
CLASS D DSC (Digital Selective Calling) RATED - The UM625c includes a separate radio receiver for the dedicated DSC channel 70, a requirement for some commercial and foreign installations. And it means you’ll never miss and incoming DSC call.
GPS INTUITIVE - Uses GPS data to determine the proper fog blast pattern, recommend the proper channel band (USA, Canadian, and International), correct time zone and more. It also repeats GPS position including date, time, speed, heading,latitude and longitude, when connected to an external GPS.
FUNCTIONAL DESIGN - The UM525 radio, including the microphone, is JIS7 tested and certified completely submersible. It also features easy-grip rubber knobs, an intuitive user interface and superior audio quality for extreme ease of use.
WHAMx4 COMPATIBILITY (see optional accessories) - With this full-function wireless 2.4GHz Digital remote, you can add up to 4 remotes that act as intercom stations. The WHAMx4 can remotely control every function of the main station, including DSC, transmit, channel selection, radio modes and more. It can also communicate WHAM-to-WHAM up to .5 miles apart, without tying up main station VHF operation. It can even operate with up to TWO radio stations, perfect for use with upper and lower radio installation. And it accepts an optional VOX headset, allowing you to be completely hands-free.
SCRAMBLER CAPABLE - If you install an optional scrambler board in the radio, you can set the radio so it scrambles your voice when you transmit, helping you avoid being overheard by other vessels.
N.O.A.A. EMERGENCY / WEATHER ALERT - This feature allows you to monitor the weather channel for any severe weatherconditions or national, regional, or local emergencies. And with its S.A.M.E. (Specific Area Message Encoding) feature, you’ll only receive weather alerts from your local area, not from those that don’t affect you.
