I'm totally pleased with this product. I'm using it with a 200-AH battery in my basement run the heating system and sump pump in a power failure.
I couldn't run my 700-watt sump pump with this 1000-watt inverter because the motor's start-up surge trips the over-current protection. (I learned that a motor's start-up surge can be 5-times its rated load.) So I'm using a 12-volt DC pump powered by the same battery that the inverter/charger uses/charges. That works fine. The manual shows how to wire a combination of DC and AC loads, and how to wire it with a boat's or vehicle's 12-volt electrical system, plugging into shore or campground power when you're parked. Installation and user manuals are excellent.
Its sophisticated charge controller rapid-charges the batteries, then backs off in stages to a "float" voltage to keep them charged and healthy. It has excellent safety features (did I mention its over-current protection :-) and a built-in GFCI-protected outlet.
