I have been using the Piranhamax 230 wireless remote fish/depthfinder for 3 months now. I find it to be very helpful for me with the type of fishing I do...Trout to Sturgeon and Salmon. I have had no trouble with it what so ever. It is very intuitive on use. The only thing I would encourage Humminbird to do is make a 12v converter for it as it does go through batteries AA batteries faster than I would like. It really shouldn't be that big of a problem for them nor add a great deal to the cost. I find it a little cumbersome to have a 2nd fishing rod with me to cast the sending unit, but it works. My wife thinks I have an unfair advantage over the fish...I'd agree with her if it could only make them bite...but I guess I do have to do something to earn my meal.

This product works well and rides nicely on one of the pontoons. My only complaint is that when pulling up the anchor, the PiranhaMax registers fish in the water. The line mounted fish outrigger is kind of a waste though, it doesn't seem to work well at all. I would purchase it again.
