I was buying in the dark as it were as I had only had experience with full size colour GPS so I didn't know what to expect. I had a look at the units locally and a colour one would have been better but could not really afford one so opted for the monochrome.
I fitted my sd card from my colour GPS another Lowrance unit and it was really good.
I use the H/Held in my kayak and fish offshore with it, it has not let me down as yet as Myself and others fish into the night and the land fall is pretty featureless around here,and the lights onshore are sometimes confusing.
I am a fan of Lowrance products and have not had a bad word to say about them to this point in time, and will continue to use them and recommend them.
