Standard Horizon CP300i chartplotter |

I took a chance when I purchased another Standard Horizon chartplotter as my previous Std. Horizon was downright dangerous, as chartplotters go.
To my delight, I do not regret my decision as this model has worked as advertised. The CP300i is very fast in locking in a signal, it is easy to see in the sunlight with very good menu options.
My only caution is the chartplotter occaisionally freezes when in between charts, stating "no chart data available" which can be very concerning on the rocky coast of Maine. I have found that if you shut down and restart or zoom in or zoom out it will reconnect to the c-map chip. I am not sure if this is a C-Map issue or with the CP300I.
Overall, I would easily recommend this unit when considering price and features as compared to similar models from other manufacturers.

Best chartplotter I've seen. |

This is the best cartplotter I have ever used. I have been a Garmin chartplotter user for the last 15 years and just got tired of poor cartography with mismatched maps. The bluechart for the NW area is very sad compared to C-map Max. The Standard Horizon chartplotter proved to be easier to use with better color graphics and features like faster screen changes and greater accuracy with more satellite coverage than any Garmin I've tried.
