The SI-TEX SP-70 Autopilot will add relaxation to your cruising and fishing
activity. Designed for most any boat and easily installed on outboard,
inboard and sterndrive vessels with either hydraulic, or quadrant steering
systems.

  • Ultra-compact, waterproof Control Unit has simple keypad operation
    and large LCD display of heading course, rudder angle, operating mode and

I installed this autopilot on my 1992 252 fishmaster from Sport Craft, had plenty of room for installation behind the dash.   The autopilot is nothing fancy no prepogrammed patterns. It does follow a GPS track and compass course.  I have used it several times and have no bad experiences.  It makes all the difference in the world when I need to be in the back of the boat.  My main usage is trolling at 2mph.  This auto pilot does fine as long as it is not windy.  At the slow speed my boat is not very responsive (probably due to the volvo duo prop sterndrive).  When not windy it holds a perfect course.  I also love the jog function and I use them to steer the boat while following specific depth contours or driving through a pack of boats.   The price from Hodges Marine was very competitive and the customer support from Hodges Marine, SITEX and Octopus Drives was outstanding. Shipped quickly without issues.  I recommend this autopilot especially for the price at Hodges Marine.
