I have a 16 ft Nitro 640 Bass Boat, Will the X3 Motorguide be sufficient for my boat and what is the recommended shaft length? Also does West Marine honor Military Discount?

For finding the recommended shaft length for a trolling motor its important to take where you will be mounting the trolling motor into consideration. You always want to make sure at least 1ft/12in of shaft length under the water. Please reference the following to select an appropriate trolling motor shaft length:
