Why use Gtechniq Ceramic Base?
Ceramic Base forms a protective barrier that is extremely hard and exceptionally durable. This makes our ceramic marine coating very effective at preventing swirling and minor scratching from poor washing techniques. With great gloss retention, this premium boat ceramic coating product provides your boat with UV protection and becomes the functional surface of the gelcoat.

Simple steps to help you get the best results:
- Perfect – If applying this ceramic coating product directly to the boat’s gelcoat or topcoat, polish the surface to remove any imperfections.
- Degrease – Ceramic Top bonds best to surgically clean surfaces. Use Gtechniq Panel Wipe and a Gtechniq MF1 Microfibre to remove all polish residue.
- Application – Soak the application pad with product. Spread onto an area measuring no more than 2’ by 2’ (60 x 60cm) and remove residue with a Gtechniq MF1 Microfibre.
- Product usage – When deciding to use this ceramic coating product on your boat, the amount of product you will need will vary depending on factors such as the microporosity of either your gel coat or marine topcoat. The requirement will be anywhere between 5.5 to 7ml/square meter (0.5 to 0.7 ml/square foot).

Hodges Marine accepts returns for up to thirty (30) days after shipment. Our return policy does not apply to the following goods: Open software, mapping/chart data cards, international orders, freight truck only items, and special order items. These items are not eligible for return, refund or exchange. Shipping charges (if any) are non-refundable. If your return is accepted by Us, We will provide one of the following within a reasonable time: an exchange of merchandise for the item returned, a non-transferable merchandise credit, a credit to the payment card or original method of payment used to pay for the item, a check, or another remedy that we determine in good faith is appropriate in the circumstances.
