I have the older model mk315 and it crapped out on me . So I am replacing it with this 315d . Will this wire to the same plug mounted in my boat that the old one was connected to ?

The MK315D will plug into either the freshwater or saltwater AC power port by Minn Kota. The freshwater power port can be found here: Minn Kota Mkr-21 And the Saltwater port here: Minn Kota Mkr-23

How about the warranty?

The warranty is three years.

Hodges Marine accepts returns for up to thirty (30) days after shipment.
